Colorado Technical University offers a Master of Science in Computer Science-Computer Systems Security program designed to provide you with an overview of computer systems security. This concentration presents an overview of computer systems security, policies, plans and standards.

Concentration courses explore:

  • Security breaches in computer systems
  • Development of a security policy ad protocols
  • Cryptographic services
  • Security auditing, computer crime, security awareness and training
  • Intrusion risks presented by emerging media and application environments such as cloud computing, social media venues, and mobile computing

The capstone course offers the opportunity to complete an in-depth project focusing on a major technical problem or major issue that impacts your organization or in a desired area of study.

The Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency have recognized Colorado Technical University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense (CAE IA/CD).
