Medical Assisting (A)
Does a career in medical assisting sound interesting to you? If so, an associate degree in Medical Assisting from Westwood College can teach you skills you’ll need to support doctors and nurses in a variety of medical facilities. This program, which can be completed in as little as 17 months, is taught by professionals with related experience and offers you training that includes:
- instruction in healthcare terminology, minor surgical procedures and front-and back-office functions
- an externship to provide you with hands-on job training
- coursework to help prepare you for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification exam*
